NYT Strands today: hints, spangram and answers for Wednesday, October 2

Strands is a new daily word puzzle from The New York Times, offering a unique challenge for fans of word searches. You’ll need sharp observation skills to complete it!

Much like Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, Strands can be tricky at times. If you’re finding it hard to crack today’s puzzle, don’t worry! We’ve got the solved puzzle for you below.

How to Play Strands:

The goal in Strands is to find “theme words” hidden within a grid of letters. To do this, drag or tap letters to form words, and double-tap the last letter to confirm your selection. If the word is part of the puzzle’s theme, the letters will turn blue and become unselectable.

Even non-theme words are helpful! For every three non-theme words (four letters or longer), you’ll get a hint where letters of one theme word are revealed. Once revealed, you just unscramble them to solve that word.

Every letter in the grid is used exactly once to form the theme words, and none of the letters overlap. Each puzzle also contains a special “spangram,” a theme word that touches two opposite sides of the board and is highlighted in yellow once found.

Try to solve the puzzle as quickly as possible without using too many hints!
