Creating a collaborative playlist is a breeze, whether you’re using the desktop or mobile app. You can either make an existing playlist collaborative or start a new one, then share the link with your friends so they can join in on the fun. Creating a Collaborative Playlist on the Desktop App
- Choose Your Playlist: Open the Spotify desktop app and find the playlist you want to make collaborative. Right-click on it in the left panel.
- Invite Collaborators: Select “Invite Collaborators.” This action will copy a link to your clipboard.
- Share the Link: Send this link to your friends via text, social media, or any method you prefer.
- Make a New Playlist: If you want to create a new playlist instead, click the Add User (head and shoulders) icon to make it collaborative. This will also provide you with a link to share.
- Manage Collaborators: If you need to remove someone from the playlist, just click their name under the playlist title, hit the three dots next to their name, and select “Remove as collaborator.”
