The New York Times’ Connections puzzle offers a fun challenge each day by asking you to categorize 16 words into four groups based on hidden connections. It resets every midnight, and, just like Wordle, you can track your streaks and compare scores with friends!
How to Play NYT Connections
In Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words. Your goal is to find how these words relate to each other and group them into four sets of four. The connections could be anything, like categories of colors, common objects, or famous names. It’s trickier than it sounds because some words might seem to fit multiple categories, but only one solution is correct.
You can rearrange the grid to look for potential links between words. Each group is color-coded to indicate difficulty, with yellow as the easiest, then green, blue, and purple.
Tips for Solving NYT Connections
To play, choose four words you think form a set and hit “Submit.” If correct, the words disappear, and you’ll see the theme linking them. If you’re wrong, it counts as a mistake, and you only get four mistakes before the game ends.
