Apple expands Business Connect tools to help firms stay in touch with customers

Apple has recently announced significant enhancements to its Business Connect platform, aiming to help businesses worldwide, including those without physical locations, to strengthen their brand presence and connect with over a billion Apple users.

Launched in early 2023, Business Connect allows businesses to manage their presence on Apple Maps. Companies can customize their location cards, add photos and logos, and offer features like reservations to improve user engagement.

The latest updates to Business Connect include several tools designed to simplify business operations and enhance brand visibility:

  1. Logo Display for Payments: Businesses can now display their logo when accepting payments via Tap to Pay on iPhone. This feature reduces the need for expensive payment terminals and point-of-sale devices, making it more accessible for smaller businesses.
  2. Branded Mail Feature: This new feature allows businesses to showcase their logo in customer emails. The goal is to create a more cohesive and professional appearance, helping to assure customers that the emails are authentic and trustworthy.
  3. Business Caller ID: Set to launch next year, this feature will enable verified businesses to display their name and logo on the incoming call screen. This helps customers identify legitimate calls from companies, enhancing trust and reducing confusion.

Accessibility and Guidance

Business Connect is free for all types of businesses—whether physical, online-only, or virtual. Business owners can register through an Apple Account and manage their online presence from any device.

Additionally, Apple has updated its Business Connect User Guide to assist users in navigating the new features and getting started effectively.
