Connections is the New York Times’ latest puzzle game that challenges players to categorize a set of 16 words into four secret groups based on how the words are related. Similar to Wordle, you can track your streak and compare your performance with friends. Each puzzle resets at midnight, with varying difficulty levels daily.
If you’re struggling with today’s Connections puzzle, don’t worry! We’ve got some helpful hints below to guide you, and if you still can’t crack it, the answers are revealed at the end.
How to Play NYT Connections:
When you start a game of Connections, you’ll see a grid of 16 words. The goal is to organize these words into four groups of four, with each group connected by a common theme. Themes could be anything, such as video game titles, book series, shades of red, or restaurant names.
One tricky part is that some words might seem to fit into more than one group, but there’s only one correct answer. You can shuffle the words around to help spot connections more easily.
The groups are color-coded based on difficulty:
- Yellow is the easiest.
- Green is a bit harder.
- Blue is tougher.
- Purple is the hardest.
To make a guess, select four words and hit “Submit.” If correct, the words are removed, and the theme is revealed. If incorrect, it counts as a mistake, and you only get four mistakes before the game ends.
