With her typical flair for the unexpected, the diva astonished onlookers with her show-stopping outfits,  specially crafted by her longtime stylist, Law Roach. The actress wore a stunning ocean-blue gown made by Maison Margiela’s John Galliano, along with an eye-catching headpiece to match.

The ensemble wonderfully matched this year’s theme, “Garden of Time,” which encouraged guests to wear themed clothes inspired by nature.

As per Cosmopolitan, Galliano designed Zendaya’s couture look, which included ‘a sage lamé and organza bias-cut dress worn over a duchess satin corset’. The dress has bands of hand-painted metallic crin, a drape and bow made of aluminium material and iridescent organza and a corsage embroidered with natural patterns painted in electric blue and emerald green.

The dress was made at the last minute, adding to the mystery surrounding her arrival. Roach told the New York Times that the dress was made shortly before the gala.
