Who is Khalen Saunders?
Khalen Saunders may now don the New Orleans Saints uniform, but he has deep ties to the Kansas City Chiefs beyond just being a former player for the team. During Week 5’s “Monday Night Football,” he made a name for himself by showcasing his skills against his old team.
In a standout moment, Saunders made a crucial stop against Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce at the goal line after a catch. But he didn’t stop there; he later intercepted a pass intended for Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster in the end zone after the throw from quarterback Patrick Mahomes went awry. And to add to the excitement, he didn’t just fall down after making the interception—he took off running, returning the ball all the way to the Saints’ 35-yard line.

Who is Khalen Saunders’ Brother?
Kameron Saunders is a backup dancer for Taylor Swift on her highly acclaimed “Eras Tour.” Fans may recognize him from a recent performance in London where Travis Kelce joined Swift on stage, sporting a top hat and cane. Kameron was one of the dancers accompanying them.
Khalen shared his excitement about this experience on Instagram, saying, “Trav… I had the time of my life being an absolute HAM with you on stage. This was such a full-circle moment for me. I have been to countless Chiefs games with my family over the years to support my baby brother. … And now for you and I to share the biggest stage in the world with boss lady… full circle! The Saunders family loves you, Trav! (Including our mom LMAO) thank you for your heart and kindness and goofiness.”
When asked about who Kameron would root for during the Week 5 game between the Chiefs and the Saints, Khalen humorously pointed out that despite Kameron’s connections to Swift, Kelce, and Kansas City, family loyalty comes first. He joked, “I was here first… He’s going to be on my side. He ain’t going to be cheering for the Chiefs. He’s going to be cheering for me because I’m paying for his ticket.”
Khalen Saunders is currently a defensive tackle in his second season with the Saints, having previously played for the Chiefs from 2019 to 2022. During his time in Kansas City, he won two Super Bowls, although he never secured a starting position. He was drafted in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft from Western Illinois.
At 28 years old, Saunders has shown great athleticism for his size, having previously played running back in high school at Parkway Central in Missouri. His versatility and skills have made him a valuable asset along the defensive line for New Orleans.
