The American mockumentary comic horror television series What We Do in the Shadows, produced by Jemaine Clement, debuted on FX on March 27, 2019. The 2014 New Zealand film of the same name, which Clement and Taika Waititi wrote, served as the inspiration for the second television series in the franchise. The series, which stars Kayvan Novak, Matt Berry, Natasia Demetriou, Harvey Guillén, and Mark Proksch, follows four vampire roommates in Staten Island.
The series has aired four seasons and was picked up for a fifth and sixth season before the fourth season’s debut. In addition to being nominated for 17 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series in 2020 and 2022, it has received high praise from critics (especially for its actors and script).

What We Do in the Shadows Season 5: Plot
At the conclusion of Season 4, Guillermo offers his friend Derek money taken from Nadja’s nightclub as a bribe to reveal his everlasting vampire power. Did it succeed? And how will Guillermo’s family respond to his decision to finally join the undead given their Van Helsing ancestry and animosity of vampires? The Guide and Nadja bid farewell to their vampire nightclub, which Nadja had burned down to get the insurance money. Of course, if she had initially purchased insurance, the plan could have worked out better. But the dramatic Nadja never lacks for desire or aspirations; in Season 5, look for her to discover new realms to conquer.
What We Do in the Shadows Season 5: Release Date
On Thursday, July 13, 2023, What We Do in the Shadows, Season 5, will make its FX debut. It is anticipated to stream on Disney+ in the UK and Hulu in the US.
