Fans of True Detective will have to wait a bit longer for the fourth season of the show, True Detective: Night Country, since it won’t premiere on Max until January 2024. The Jodie Foster and Kali Reis-led season, which was once anticipated as a part of Max’s 2023 slate, is experiencing significant problems, most likely (at least in part) because to the recent historic SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes. But what’s a couple extra months after waiting four years for a fresh release?

True Detective Season 4: Plot
Two tenacious investigators working in the bitter cold of Ennis, Alaska, Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Reis) are in charge of the investigation in True Detective: Night Country. The fourth season of the fan-favorite series, which is set during the darkest season of the year, is going to be another poorly lit HBO production. The town of Ennis has been without sun for several weeks during these gloomy days. The situation, which the locals refer to as “the long night,” becomes even more ominous when several men employed by the Tsalal Arctic Research Station inexplicably vanish, leaving only their shoes as a trail of evidence. Detectives Navarro and Danvers will need to be alert since there is nothing but darkness all around them.
True Detective Season 4: Release Date
The start of the fourth season is scheduled for January 2024. It was initially scheduled to debut in 2023.
