The lyric video for Taylor Swift’s song “So High School” appears to have a hidden message addressed to her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, which has fueled rumours that the song is about their relationship.
Swift purposefully draws attention to the initials “TK” and “TS” in the video around the 45-second mark, when the lyrics refer to “twinkling lights.”
Swifties were quick to notice the subtle nod, with one exclaiming, “TK AND TS HIGHLIGHTED IN PINK OMGDMSMDMSMD!”
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end Kelce seemed to confirm the rumours himself by posting a cryptic post on the X account for his podcast, ‘New Heights.’
The caption on the photo, which featured Kelce mimicking his father, reads, “Those Papa Kelce impressions are just too good.” This matched the song’s lyrics, in which Swift laughs at an impression Kelce made of his father.
Fans have already been speculating about the song’s subject matter before these confirmations, citing several hints in the lyrics.
The theory was supported by references to Kelce’s game with AfterBuzz TV and their first public date night in October 2023. Swifties also claim that another song on Swift’s album, ‘The Alchemy,’ is about Kelce, with references to touchdowns, winning streaks and becoming the greatest in the league.
