Tom Holland reveals he’s taking ‘a year off’ acting after working on a difficult series ‘The Crowded Room’

Tom Holland, a star of the Marvel franchise, reveals he is taking a year off after working on a “difficult” show like The Crowded Room.

The 27-year-old actor portrays Danny Sullivan in the Apple TV+ anthology series, which looks into the real and inspirational stories of individuals who have struggled and learned to live with mental illness successfully.

Holland, who served as co-producer on The Crowded Room’s 1st season, said backing the just added to the pressure.

In a recent interaction with an entertainment magazine Extra, Holland said that they were exploring certain emotions that he have definitely never experienced before. “And then on top of that, being a producer, dealing with the day-to-day problems that come with any film set, just added that extra level of pressure. I’m now taking a year off, and that is a result of how difficult this show was.”

While Holland said that he is “no stranger to hard work” and “really enjoyed” working on this show, he also admits that “the show did break me.”

“The Crowded Room” is a 10-episode limited series about a guy who gets jailed after being involved in a shooting in New York City in 1979.

The 1st 3 episodes of the series will be available on Apple TV+ beginning June 9 and will be released once a week on Fridays through July 28.
