Thunderbolts: Potential cast, plot, release date and other details we know about the upcoming Marvel film

As the culmination to Marvel’s Phase 5 of the Multiverse Saga, Thunderbolts (2024) is being hailed as bringing together an ensemble cast of former villains and anti-heroes from the earlier movies and Disney+ programs. The Thunderbolts have a lengthy and complex comic book history, with a continuously shifting lineup and multiple agendas, so a live-action Thunderbolts adaptation might go in a number of different directions.

Thunderbolts: Cast

For all that we know, the network is yet to update about the cast of this upcoming film which is why we cannot provide you the exact list of the entire cast members. According to the reports, in addition to Florence Pugh, David Harbour, and Olga Kurylenko from Quantum of Solace’s Black Widow, Sebastian Stan and Wyatt Russell from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Julia Louis-Dreyfus from both, and Hannah John-Kamen from 2018’s Ant-Man and the Wasp round out the cast. Bucky will serve as the team’s de facto head, according to Kevin Feige, but that is all we currently know about their composition.
The one and only Harrison Ford will also make an appearance in the movie, replacing the late William Hurt in the role of Thunderbolt Ross. Hurt died in 2021 after portraying the character in five separate MCU movies, starting with The Incredible Hulk.

Thunderbolts: Plot

At the moment, we do not have any information regarding the exact plotline of Thunderbolts. Given that both teams are made up of individuals that wouldn’t be the best candidates for membership on a super squad, it is quite simple to draw comparisons between the Thunderbolts and DC’s Suicide Squad. The release date of Marvel’s Thunderbolts is presently set for July 26, 2024. The writer’s strike has put a brake on right now. Principal filming for the movie was supposed to start in June. One of the four MCU films slated for release in 2024, along with Blade, Deadpool 3, and Captain America: New World Order, is Thunderbolts.
