Based on Michael Connelly’s novels, David E. Kelley and Ted Humphrey devised the American legal drama television series The Lincoln Lawyer. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo plays Mickey Haller, a Los Angeles defense lawyer who frequently operates out of a chauffeur-driven Lincoln Navigator.
The 2008 book The Brass Verdict by Connelly, a follow-up to The Lincoln Lawyer, served as the basis for the first season. On May 13, 2022, Netflix debuted it. Critics gave it largely favorable reviews. The show received a second season renewal in June of 2022. It was released in two parts and was based on Connelly’s 2011 book The Fifth Witness, which is the fourth book in the Lincoln Lawyer series. July 6, 2023 saw the publication of the first installment, and August 3 saw the release of the second. The third season of the show was renewed in August 2023.

The events of The Fifth Witness, in which Mickey takes on a fresh murder case and defends Lisa Trammel, a woman charged with killing Mitchell Bondurant, a well-known and affluent member of society, are explored in Season 2. However, Mickey is in trouble and things aren’t getting better for him throughout the first five episodes of the season.
