Suitable Flesh: Speculated release date, cast, plot and all the details you need to know

The extensive list of anticipated horror movies for later in the year now includes Suitable Flesh. Suitable Flesh, which is being directed by Joe Lynch and written by Dennis Paoli and is based on the short story The Thing On The Doorstep by H.P. Lovecraft, is slated to unleash the utmost terror on the big screen. The plot centers on a psychiatrist who develops an obsession for one of her patients, which leads to the discovery of an ancient curse.

Whether it’s a coincidence or not, the actors and crew of the new horror movie have a strong pedigree in the genre. Heather Graham, who plays the heroine and leads the cast, has been in horror movies like From Hell, Terrified, and Blessed in the past. Oracle, a new horror movie, will feature her in its place. Barbara Crampton, a horror legend and the star of current movies like Jakob’s Wife and Glorious as well as 80s cult favorites like Re-Animator, Chopping Mall, and From Beyond, joins her. Judah Lewis, best known for his role in The Babysitter, is alongside the two celebrities and will most likely portray the younger patient with whom she is preoccupied. Lewis is a relative newbie to the genre, although his prior work in horror movies.

Along with Bruce Davison and Johnathon Schaech from Ozark and Day of the Dead: Bloodline, Chris McKenna from The Young and the Restless, Brett Newton from American Rust, Drake Malone from Are You from Dixie?, Jonah Ray from Better Things, Hunter Womack from Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hell, Giovannie Cruz from The Suicide Squad, and JD Evermore from Rectify round out the rest of the main cast.

Simply put, Suitable Flesh is what critics are praising as “a gory, horny, and outlandish Lovecraft adaptation” To put it another way, this movie may be compared to the classic “raunchy” horror movies from the 1980s that are just the right amount of terrifying without being too bizarre to leave you with nightmares for days. In addition to that, the official logline reads, “a once-esteemed psychiatrist who gets obsessed with her younger patient, who happens to have multiple personalities. After murdering one of her patients, she watches her life take a nightmarish turn as she soon encounters supernatural forces, seemingly connected with an ancient curse.”

On June 11, 2023, as a part of the festival’s “Escape from Tribeca” schedule, Suitable Flesh received its global debut. RLJE Films will distribute the movie in theaters and online later this year. The exact release date of the film is yet to be announced.
