The Duffer brothers, who created the television series, stated in a statement with the release date for Stranger Things 4: “Seven years ago, we laid out the whole story arc for Stranger Things. We planned the plot would span four to five seasons back then. We couldn’t fit it into four, but as you’ll soon see for yourself, we are rapidly approaching the end. Season 5 will be the last season, with Season 4 serving as the penultimate season.
