Strange Planet: Cast
The current list of cast members includes American singer-songwriter Tunde Adibimpe, American comedian and writer Demi Adejuyigbe, and American actress Lori Tan Chinn, well known for her role as Mei Chang in Orange is the New Black.
They will be joined in the cast by Danny Pudi (Community), Hannah Einbinder (Hacks), Cedric Yarbrough (Reno 911), Beth Stelling (Crashing), and American comedian James Adomian, who is most known for his performances of George W. Bush and Bernie Sanders on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
Strange Planet: Plot
Strange Planet will follow the charming blue alien creatures of Pyle’s imagination as they negotiate the absurdities of social relationships that mankind encounters every day, much like other adult-animated programs. Like shows like Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, Rick and Morty, and others that only loosely connect each episode to the broader adventures of these endearing characters, each episode is likely to contain an episodical closed-circuit anthology type plot.
In essence, Strange Planet is a commentary on how we interact and treat one another in daily life, but with a dry humor twist. The goofy blue alien aliens from Strange Planet communicate in a way that mimics how our contemporary civilization handles both hazardous and friendly relationships, much like Spock from Star Trek, who has a robotic, humorless tone.
Strange Planet: Release Date
The series is scheduled for release on August 9, 2023.
