The search for Broadway dancer Zelig Williams, who has been missing since October 3, continues, with family and local authorities urging the public to help find him. Williams, known for his performances in Hamilton and MJ: The Musical, left his mother’s home in Columbia, South Carolina, early that morning, with his car later discovered near Congaree National Park’s Palmetto Trail. His family noted he had recently stopped taking medication, and they believe he may be in a vulnerable or trance-like state.
Williams’ mother, Kathy, shared her heartbreak at an October 16 press conference, describing her son as her last surviving child following the tragic loss of his two sisters in a car accident two years ago. Since his disappearance, local police have conducted extensive searches with K9 units, drones, and search parties but have not ruled out any possibilities, including foul play.
The community and Williams’ family held a candlelight vigil, where his mother expressed optimism, saying, “My son is coming home.” Actor Hugh Jackman, who worked with Williams in 2019, also shared an appeal on social media. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Richland County Sheriff’s Department or Crime Stoppers.
