Sharon Stone and Liam Neeson call for Kevin Spacey Hollywood return

Liam Neeson, Sharon Stone, Stephen Fry and F. Murray Abraham all expressed their support for Kevin Spacey’s comeback to Hollywood this week. Their statements follow the recent Spacey Unmasked documentary, which revealed allegations against Spacey.

Neeson told The Telegraph, “Kevin is a good man and a man of character,” and he expressed his deep sadness at hearing of new allegations made against the House of Cards star.

Since many men began accusing Spacey of sexual misconduct in 2017, Spacey has not been working in the film industry. In 2022, a New York jury found him not guilty of assaulting actor Anthony Rapp, and this summer, he was acquitted of nine counts made against him in London. Several more cases have been dropped and Spacey denied every accusation. This month, however, 10 more men came forward with allegations of abuse in Spacey Unmasked, a two-part Channel 4 documentary directed by Katherine Haywood.

This week, Neeson said that Spacey is “one of our finest artists in the theater and on camera. Personally speaking, our industry needs him and misses him greatly.”

Sharon Stone said, “I can’t wait to see Kevin back at work. He is a genius. He is so elegant and fun, generous to a fault and knows more about our craft than most of us ever will.”

She also added that it was obvious that young actors “wanted and want to be around him”, stating, “it’s terrible that they are blaming him for not being able to come to terms with themselves for using him and negotiating with themselves because they didn’t get their secret agendas.”
