Accusers of Sean “Diddy” Combs are expected to appear before a federal grand jury, CNN reported. The 54-year-old rapper has been mentioned in many lawsuits alleging sexual assault. According to sources familiar with the investigation, the US Justice Department is prepared to present Combs’ criminal case to a grand jury for indictment.

The music mogul has been named in eight cases, seven of which specifically accuse him of sexual assault. In the meantime, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura’s case has been settled. According to the CNN report, potential witnesses have been informed that they would be called before a federal grand jury in New York City to testify. This would strengthen the government’s current investigation involving the Last Night hitmaker.

The Homeland Security Investigations agency (HSI) stated that the investigation is still underway, despite a spokesperson declining to comment on whether Diddy’s accusers will be called before a grand jury to testify. The outlet was also informed by sources that the notified witnesses have not yet been ready to testify.

However, they stressed that the HSI is still gathering evidence and interviewing potential sources of information as part of their federal investigation into the music producer. According to the source, investigators are working hard to ensure that any indictment is “bulletproof.”
