Sacha Baron Cohen and wife Isla Fisher are divorcing after nearly 14 years of marriage

Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen, a popular couple in Hollywood, announced their separation on Friday. The couple, who had been together for more than 20 years, disclosed that they had filed for divorce last year in a shocking Instagram post. The 48-year-old actress from Confessions of a Shopaholic and the 52-year-old actor of Borat tied the knot in 2010 and have three kids together.

On April 5, Fisher and Cohen posted a joint statement on their Instagram stories, saying, “After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023 we jointly filed to end our marriage.”

Their statement further reads, “We have always prioritized our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family’s wish for privacy.”

Cohen told the New York Times in 2020 that they met at a party in Sydney, Australia, in 2000. After that, in 2004, they got engaged, and six years later, they got married. “She was hilarious. We were at a very pretentious party, and me and her bonded over taking the mick out of the other people in the party. I knew instantly. I don’t know if she did.”
