Ripley is an upcoming American psychological thriller television series based on Patricia Highsmith’s 1955 crime book The Talented Mr. Ripley. Starring Andrew Scott as psychopathic con artist Tom Ripley, Johnny Flynn as Dickie Greenleaf and Dakota Fanning as Marge Sherwood, the eight-episode limited series was produced, written and directed by Steven Zaillian. Ripley was initially planned to debut on Showtime, but in February 2023 the series was shifted to Netflix. It is anticipated to air in late 2023 or early 2024.

Dickie Greenleaf is portrayed by Johnny Flynn (David Bowie in the rock biography Stardust), while Dakota Fanning (Oceans 8, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood) as Marge Sherwood, an American residing in Italy who believes Tom’s friendliness is concealed by more sinister intentions.
Eliot Sumner, an actor and musician well known for his work on the film No Time To Die, also has a recurrent part as a buddy of Dickie’s who develops doubts about Tom.
Ripley: Plot
The precise narrative cannot be divulged at this time. According to sources, however, the first season of this drama centers on Tom Ripley, a hustler struggling to make ends meet in New York City in the early 1960s, who is paid by a wealthy man to attempt to persuade his wandering son, Dickie Greenleaf, who is enjoying a happy, trust-funded exile in Italy, to come back. However, Tom’s acceptance of the position marks the beginning of a convoluted life of dishonesty, deception, and murder.
Ripley: Release Date
At the moment, there is no notice from the network or the series officials regarding the release date of the series. However, like most fans we too expect the series to premiere in 2023.
