Actor Nick Pasqual has been arrested in Texas on accusations of repeatedly stabbing his estranged girlfriend. It was reported that he was trying to cross into Mexico from the US.

Around 4:30 in the morning on May 23, Pasqual reportedly stormed into the Sunland, California house of award-winning makeup artist Allie Shehorn and stabbed her 20 times. Shehorn suffered many injuries, including wounds to her neck, arms, and abdomen. Her surrogate mother found her later in the day, in a horrific scene.  It’s believed that Shehorn and Pasqual first met on the Rebel Moon set.

Pasqual has been charged with one count of attempted murder, one count of first-degree residential burglary with a person present and one count of injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend, or parent of a child, according to a press release from the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office. If found guilty, he can receive a life term in jail.

In a press release, District Attorney George Gascón stated, “My thoughts and heartfelt sympathies are with the victim in this horrific incident. Our office, including our Bureau of Victim Services, extends our support and resources to her as she embarks on the long and difficult journey of healing from both the physical and emotional trauma inflicted upon her.”

He further added, “This heinous incident is a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence. We will ensure that the individual responsible for this egregious act is held accountable for their actions.”
