The 8th instalment of the iconic “Mission: Impossible” film series has recruited another intriguing cast member, Tramell Tillman, who rose to prominence in the hit Apple TV+ series “Severance.” Tillman, known for his breakout performance on the series, will now appear alongside Tom Cruise and several other famous characters in the forthcoming “Mission: Impossible 8.”

The movie, which was previously titled “Dead Reckoning Part Two,” dropped the title but still promises to carry on the high-stakes action that fans have become familiar with from the franchise.

Although the new film’s story is being kept under wraps, Tillman’s character is anticipated to be significant in Ethan Hunt’s (Tom Cruise) latest adventure.

Tom Cruise is shown in behind-the-scenes photos of “Mission: Impossible 8” pulling out some of the most bold actions to date, including high-risk action sequences. IMAX digital cameras are being used for the shooting, resulting in a three-week run in IMAX cinemas as compared to the one-week run of “Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One.”

The story will continue where “Dead Reckoning Part One” ended, with Ethan Hunt and his team racing against time to find and destroy The Entity, a powerful AI that threatens world security.

This movie is slated to be released in the United States on May 23, 2025.
