Episode 6 of Agatha All Along revealed some intriguing developments about Billy Maximoff’s journey, leaving fans buzzing. The episode finally shed light on Billy’s whereabouts over the past three years, and while many expected it to pave the way for Wanda Maximoff’s return, creator Jac Schaeffer threw in a twist that left fans shocked—and some, a bit furious.
The tension in this episode reached new heights as Billy and Agatha confronted each other over their complicated pasts and motives. When Agatha questioned Billy’s intentions, hinting he was only on the road to get closer to Wanda (who Agatha referred to as his “mom”), Billy retorted, “She’s not my mom. I have a mom.” This comment sparked outrage from Wanda’s fans, especially given her struggles in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, where she destroyed Kamar-Taj trying to reunite with her children. “Did this boy really just say Wanda isn’t his mom?” one fan exclaimed, echoing the sentiment across social media.
However, Billy’s situation is more nuanced than it appears. After a tragic car crash involving the previous Billy’s host, William Kaplan, Billy was reincarnated without memories of his life with Wanda or Rebecca Kaplan, his adoptive mother in his new life. With Rebecca (portrayed by Maria Dizzia) raising him in the interim, it’s understandable that he’d harbor some resentment over the upheaval in his life due to Wanda’s actions.
Despite his dismissive words, Billy later asked Agatha if “Wanda Maximoff” (pointedly using her full name) was truly dead. Agatha’s cryptic “yes…no…maybe” response offered fans a glimmer of hope, reigniting speculation that Wanda could return—and potentially in a solo Scarlet Witch film. As fans eagerly await the final episodes of Agatha All Along, the question remains whether the Scarlet Witch might make her grand return at the end of the Witches’ Road.
The next episodes drop on Disney+ on Oct. 30, and fans are counting down the days to see how it all unfolds.
