Margot Robbie shares her challenging experience shooting a scene for Suicide Squad

Margot Robbie recently talked about how difficult it was to shoot a scene for Suicide Squad. The actress talked about her challenges in the chemical transformation scene in an interview with The Washington Post, calling it the most unpleasant thing she had ever done.

During the scene, the actress was submerged underwater and covered in a gluggy paint-like substance.

She recounted how it got hard for her to breathe since it went up her nose and into her ears. It would also cause her eyes to glaze over, making it difficult for her to see.

Robbie went on to express her frustration with the character’s storyline in Suicide Squad, saying that it didn’t fit with Harley Quinn’s typically confident style, especially when it came to her relationship with Joker played by Jared Leto.

Filmmaker David Ayer had hoped for a director’s cut of the film that would have included a longer version of Harley’s transformation scene. However, with James Gunn taking over the DC universe, the chances of Ayer’s director’s cut getting released seem slim.

Looking ahead, Robbie has shown her willingness to leave her role as Harley Quinn, implying a symbolic handover as DC crafts a new course under Gunn’s direction.
