Manhunt is an upcoming American television limited series produced by showrunner Monica Beletsky. The series is a historical fiction conspiracy thriller that recounts Edwin Stanton’s quest for John Wilkes Booth following Abraham Lincoln’s death, based on James L. Swanson’s book Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase for Lincoln’s Killer. Carl Franklin will direct, and Tobias Menzies will play Stanton. The sitcom is being made for Apple TV+ and will premiere in August 2023.
