Late K-pop singer Park Bo-ram’s agency shares update on her autopsy, says ‘no signs of suicide’

Fans of South Korean music are in grief following the sudden death of 30 year old singer Park Bo Ram. The singer was a favourite among the audience because of her stunning OST contributions. Sadly, her sudden demise came as a huge shock to fans around, with many speculating that she killed herself. Her agency has now corrected the autopsy findings after false accusations started making the rounds on the internet.

Bo Ram’s entertainment agency, XANADU Entertainment, issued a statement on April 15 stating the autopsy results and denying any allegations of suicide or homicide. Additionally, the agency threatened legal action against anybody who spread false information and cautioned internet users against doing so.

“An autopsy was performed this morning (April 15) to confirm the cause of death of the late artist Park Bo Ram. The autopsy showed no signs of homicide or suicide, and the exact results will be delivered to the bereaved family at a later date”, said the late singer’s agency in response to the claims.

The singer passed away on the night of April 11. The  agency also asked supporters to “refrain from circulating rumours and speculative reports so that the bereaved family can properly send off the deceased on her last journey.”

In addition to the statement, Park Bo Ram’s agency provided details about the singer’s funeral. The singer’s funeral will take place on April 17th at 3:00 PM KST in room 21 of the Funeral Home at Asan Medical Center. On April 17th, there will be a burial procession in Seoul Memorial Park.

The statement further reads, “We would appreciate it if you could pray for the late Park Bo Ram, who never let go of her passion for music and nurtured her dream so that she can rest comfortably in a warm place.”
