The movie Joker: Folie À Deux, starring Lady Gaga, has been highly anticipated this year. In the follow-up to 2019’s Joker, helmed by Todd Philips, Lady Gaga plays Harley Quinn alongside Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker. She recently described how her view of the comic book character is unique in an interview with Access Hollywood.
In the interview, Lady Gaga stated, “You know my version of Harley is mine and it’s very authentic to this movie and these characters.”
She also added, “I’ve never done anything like I’ve done in this movie before, so it’s all going to be completely brand new and really fun.”
The first teaser trailer for the sequel was released by Warner Bros. last month. In the teaser, Gaga’s character Harley confesses to Arthur that she admires him since he has accomplished a lot more in life than she has. After that, she pushes him to escape the jail, and the two embark on an insane musical ride.
The movie also stars Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, and Harry Lotte. Todd Phillips and Scott Silver wrote the script for the movie.
Joker: Folie à Deux will hit the cinemas on October 9, 2024.
