Kelly Clarkson’s recent weight reduction journey has sparked a lot of controversy. Her weight loss happened really quickly, and fans wanted to find out her weight loss secret. Many people believed the singer was using a weight loss drug. In a surprising turn of events, Clarkson addressed the rumours, admitting to using weight loss drugs. She emphasised, however, that it is not the well-known drug Ozempic.

The 41-year-old shocked everyone when she lost more than 41 pounds in 2023. Her astonishing weight loss journey caused curiosity, including accusations that she used Ozempic. Responding to these rumours on a recent episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show with Whoopi Goldberg, the talk show host shared her experience, acknowledging that she did rely on a doctor-prescribed weight loss medicine, but not on what people assumed.

Clarkson praised Goldberg, saying, “Every time I run into you, you look younger! You’re like Benjamin Button. It’s like crazy every time you walk in!” After the EGOT winner told her that it was all about weight loss, she stated that she had lost nearly two people. The 68-year-old added, “I am doing that wonderful shot that works for folks who need some help, and it’s been really good for me.”

After clarifying that her journey was different from the general opinion, Clarkson did not waste any time in revealing her personal weight loss experience.

The singer said, “My doctor chased me for two years, and I was like, ‘No, I’m afraid of it. I already have thyroid problems. Everybody thinks it’s Ozempic, but it’s not. It’s something else.”

Kelly Clarkson made it clear that she takes medicine to help her body process sugar more effectively. She clarified that this is not the famous diabetic drug Ozempic, which works by controlling hunger hormones in the brain. “I don’t take Ozempic,” she stated.
