Katy Perry, the American Idol judge, had an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction on a recent episode. Katy’s top suddenly broke during Roman Collins’ performance, causing her to take cover behind a table.
Following the performance, Katy jokingly told the audience, “That song broke my top off!” The host, Ryan Seacrest, said, “Katy, don’t cut yourself!” after seeing her wardrobe malfunction. Katy then said, “I guess it is a woman’s world,” to which Luke Bryan responded, “Ratings, ratings, ratings!”

Luke applauded Roman’s performance once things had cooled down, which made Katy joke, “You literally have the ability to blow the roof off the place… or a top!”
This is not the first time that Katy’s outfit choice has caused controversy. In an earlier episode, she donned a floor-length black sheer dress with large grey and black pom-poms, which led Luke to comment that she looked “like the inside of a car wash.”
Katy has stated that this season may be her last on American Idol. She expressed her love for the show and her goal to explore new music and travel the world.
Rumours regarding potential Katy replacements include Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez and Shania Twain. Given her fame and ability to draw in younger audiences, some producers think Miley would be perfect, while others are concerned about her controversial behaviour.
