Over the few several weeks, Karim Benzema transfer rumours have been more frequent. The Saudi club Al Ittihad, who also won the Saudi Pro League this year, has recently been linked to the Real Madrid captain. With 18 goals this season, Benzema, who won the Pichichi Trophy the previous year, is presently the second-highest scorer in La Liga, with Real Madrid playing Athletic Club in their last league match on Sunday.
After leading Real Madrid to win the La Liga championship and their 14th Champions League title in 2021–2022, Karim was named the Ballon d’Or winner. Regarding the latest transfer rumours surrounding him, the footballer gave Marca a cryptic reply. “Talking about my future? For what? What is said comes from the Internet. And the Internet is not reality. I have a game on Saturday, I train tomorrow, so right now I’m in Madrid”, he said.
Benzema has won 25 trophies throughout his Real Madrid career, including 5 UCL championships and 4 La Liga trophies. In 647 games with Real, he has 353 goals scored. The club has already made plans to replace Benzema and is allegedly interested in signing Kylian Mbappe. As per reports, Mbappe will probably not leave PSG during the summer transfer window, but there might be a chance for Madrid to sign him for free.
