‘Jersey Shore’ star Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola announces her engagement to Justin May

Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola’s wedding day is coming! The 37-year-old Jersey Shore star announced on Instagram on Monday that she had accepted a proposal from her longtime boyfriend, Justin May, and said she was thrilled to accept it.

Giancola shared photographs from the proposal with the caption, “Life update: Fiancé 💍🥹♥️ 3.16.24 The easiest question I’ve ever answered.. happiest & luckiest girl in the world 😭 I’ll love you forever and then some 🤍 #Futurewifey #Engaged.”

She also added, “Can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you *Not an April fools joke* 💍 @cozzijewelers.”

The couple, who have been dating since 2021, is seen in the photos holding one other close, giving each other a warm kiss, and taking in the special moment.

Giancola also makes sure to show off her gorgeous round diamond engagement ring with a gold band up close to her fans.

Giancola gained popularity as one of the eight housemates on MTV’s Jersey Shore, a show that aired for six seasons between 2009 and 2012. Although she may not have been dating May at the time (she did, however, date Ronnie Ortiz-Magro), their paths may have crossed.

In an August 2023 interview with ET, Giancola disclosed May’s surprising connection to Jersey Shore. “He actually used to work at the club Karma when we were there partying in 2009. I just feel like it was kind of weird how he kind of was a part of my life prior, in the beginning years.”

Talking about their  relationship, she said, “I found somebody who’s very loving and supportive of what I do and just supportive of me and who I absolutely adore.”
