Jennifer Lopez talks about AI, says, it is “really scary”
Actress-singer Jennifer Lopez takes part in a debate over the growing trend of artificial intelligence (AI), pointing out its drawbacks. The celebrity claims she was a victim when a skincare brand utilized her wrinkled face for marketing purposes.
Jennifer’s latest film Atlas, which recently released on Netflix, delves into the dangers and potential advantages of artificial intelligence. Jenifer revealed her concerns about the AI trend during the film’s Los Angeles premiere.
The actress spoke about her own experience and how she felt exploited. She recalls a time when certain advertisements “selling skincare” used her edited images with “wrinkles” on her face.
Jennifer said to Variety at the film’s premiere, “I think this movie (Atlas) does a good job of showing how AI could go incredibly wrong, and this is how it could go really right.” She added, “It’s really scary. Right away we had them stealing our faces. So, yes, [AI] is really scary. I think you should be respectful of AI…We have to be open to all possibilities. These movies that are talking about AI — especially this one — do a really good job of showing both sides.”
