Jeff Bridges will make a sequel to his best movie, on one condition

Jeff Bridges has an impressive filmography filled with standout performances across various genres, from iconic Westerns to memorable sci-fi flicks and even the occasional superhero film. He’s truly done it all!

However, Bridges is open to revisiting past projects, and in a recent interview with People Magazine, he revealed that there’s one particular film he would be thrilled to make a sequel to—under one condition.

When it comes to iconic films, few hold a candle to The Big Lebowski. This cult classic from the Coen Brothers is often hailed as one of the greatest movies of all time, so it’s no surprise that Bridges wouldn’t be opposed to a sequel. He expressed his enthusiasm by saying, “Oh, God! If the brothers were involved, I certainly would.” He emphasized the unpredictable nature of the Coen Brothers, stating that they’re “mysterious and full of surprises,” which makes it hard to predict what they might do next. So, while he hopes for a sequel, he acknowledges that the brothers might choose not to make one.

Bridges also reminisced about their previous collaboration in 2010’s True Grit, a role that earned him his sixth Oscar nomination.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of The Big Lebowski, celebrating the film that introduced audiences to Bridges’ unforgettable character, The Dude. With all this in mind, fans can only hope that the Coen Brothers surprise everyone with a sequel that lives up to the original!
