Grey’s Anatomy was renewed for Season 20 by ABC on March 24. The new season brings significant changes, particularly at the top. Krista Vernoff, who took over from show creator Shonda Rhimes at the start of Season 14, will step down at the end of Season 19. According to Variety, her successor is executive producer Meg Marinis, who has been working on the show for more than a decade. She began as a writer’s production assistant in Season 3 and has since risen through the ranks.
