If this concerning audio describing Liam Payne’s final hours is true, Directioners are in for further devastation
As the world mourns the loss of Liam Payne, investigations into the circumstances of his passing continue to unfold, revealing several unverified yet troubling details that paint a somber picture of his final moments.
On October 16, Payne tragically fell from the third-floor balcony of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires. An interview aired on local station La Resistencia Radio described a chaotic scene involving drugs, alcohol, and disruptive behavior from the singer. While the identity of the informant remains unclear, the details suggest they may have been an employee of the hotel.
According to translations of the interview, Payne had been staying at the hotel for a week prior to his death and allegedly made a negative impression on the staff. The informant described him as a “drug addict, an alcoholic,” and referred to his behavior as “sick.” Further claims indicated that he was intoxicated and exhibited violent tendencies, prompting his manager to intervene after Payne reportedly broke the television in his room, called two prostitutes, and then refused to pay for their services. The informant mentioned that Payne appeared “really sick” and acted erratically, frequently going up and down to his room.
The informant recounted, “So, the manager left him alone for two seconds; he tried to get drugs, couldn’t find them, and when he didn’t get what he wanted, he called two prostitutes. He broke the TV, and the girls made a fuss because he didn’t want to pay them. The manager had to step in and pay them. He went up and down; he was really sick.”
The individual claimed that Payne’s hotel room was in disarray, allegedly filled with drugs, and stated that a colleague had video evidence. They further alleged that Payne obtained drugs from a hotel employee, after which his situation rapidly deteriorated.
“And we wanted to take him out of the hotel, but we couldn’t because the manager said that the drugs were given to him by one of the employees. That employee has been identified, and they’re going to be fired now,” the informant said. “The hotel is a mess. I don’t know how this is going to end, but now he jumped from the third floor because they didn’t listen to him. I guess he killed himself, but we’ll see what comes out in a while.”
Another source claimed that Payne spent around $600 on alcohol during his stay and characterized him as “abusive, high, and wasted.” In his intoxicated state, he reportedly jumped from the balcony, possibly attempting to land in the pool below. This account aligns with the 911 call made by the hotel manager, who expressed concern about an intoxicated guest causing destruction in the room and feared for his safety, given the presence of a balcony.
Initial autopsy findings released by the prosecutor’s office revealed that Payne sustained 25 injuries consistent with a fall from a significant height, including severe head trauma and both internal and external bleeding. While investigators have ruled out third-party involvement, the incident is classified as a “suspicious death” as a standard procedure. The specifics of the fall remain under investigation.
“Everything indicates that the musician was alone when the fall occurred and was experiencing some kind of episode due to substance abuse,” the prosecutor’s office stated in a release to Reuters. “City police found substances in the room that appeared to be narcotics and alcoholic beverages, alongside several damaged objects and furniture.”
Payne was only 31 years old at the time of his passing and leaves behind a seven-year-old son, Bear, from his previous relationship with Cheryl Cole. Despite the troubling claims surrounding his death, the news has led to an outpouring of love and support from fans and friends alike.
