FBI: International is an American criminal television series that airs on CBS. It is the third installment in the FBI series and the second spin-off from Dick Wolf’s drama FBI. The show follows a team of FBI Special Agents as they investigate worldwide terrorism and criminality. After its launch on September 21, 2021, a complete season of FBI: International was allowed in October 2021.
In May 2022, CBS renewed the series for a second and third season. The second season premiered on September 20, 2022. While FBI and FBI: Most Wanted to finish their seasons without any dramatic cliffhangers, the FBI’s newest series, FBI: International, ended with a bang… literally.
As the season drew to a close, an explosive detonated in the Fly Team’s office, jeopardizing the future of nearly every team member. Raines was the only man who we know for certain was not in the building when the detonation occurred, but he was knocked off his feet by the explosion, placing him in the same position as the rest of the squad.
FBI: International will not return to CBS for a new season in June, leaving fans eager for answers that will remain unsatisfied. This is not a surprise, but the news is nonetheless disappointing, as there is nothing else we wish we knew about our beloved agents.
FBI: International Season 3 Release Date
The first season of FBI: International was released on September 21, 2021. The second season was published on September 20, 2022. A third season of the show is later commissioned. The third season is set to premiere on August 8, 2023. The third season of FBI: International will feature the same number of episodes as the first two.
This appears to be CBS’s intention, as the series is presently scheduled to broadcast on Tuesday evenings as part of the network’s upcoming fall schedule. All of this is contingent on the duration of the Writers Guild of America strike, as the strike could delay the resumption of FBI programs if production cannot begin this summer.
FBI: International Plot and Cast
The official summary for the forthcoming season had not been released as of the writing of this article. However, we may expect the third season to start up where the previous season left off.
Luke Kleintank as Scott Forrester, Carter Redwood as Andre Raines, Heida Reed as Jamie Kellett, Vinessa Vidotto as Cameron Vo, Green as Tank, Eva-Jane Willis as Megan “Smitty” Garretson, and many more are among the cast members.

While the Fly Team solved crimes all around Europe this year, they also had their own power conflicts. Ken Dandridge (Michael Torpey) was prepared to replace Forrester and take over the unit, even putting his own agent, Zoey McKenna (Kelley Missal), on the squad, until higher-ups discovered Dandridge had wiretapped Forrester’s phone. He was soon deported back to the United States.

Kellett had some off-the-job drama with her lover Ben Erdos (Miklós Bányai), who was suspected of killing a Hungarian couple. Despite the fact that he was proven innocent, the pair eventually divorced. In addition, certain new dynamics have shaken up the Fly Team: Agent Damian Powell (Greg Hovanessian) joins the team in “Dead Sprint.”
How Many Episodes Will Be There in FBI: International Season 3?
If the recent WGA strike has any impact, international Season 3 will most likely contain 21 or 22 episodes. FBI: International typically has 21–22 episodes every season. However, as it did for comparable procedures during the 2007–2008 strike, the writers’ strike can result in a truncated season. The number of episodes will ultimately depend on when the series can begin filming as FBI generally runs from September to May.
