Fans Melt as Taylor Swift Speaks Spanish at Madrid Show
Taylor Swift continues to take over the music industry with back-to-back sold-out shows on her Eras Tour in Europe. The 34-year-old singer completely revamped the entire setlist and included novel outfits for different eras. However, Swift isn’t just about business. The Cruel Summer hitmaker is known for being mindful of her loyal fans. During the recent Eras Tour event in Madrid, Spain, she captured her fans’ hearts by speaking Spanish.
During the first night of her record-breaking Eras Tour in Spain, the Midnights singer greeted the fans in Spanish at the iconic Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. Swift said, “Bienvenido a la Eras Tour,” which roughly translates to “Welcome to the Eras Tour” in English. However, this is not the first time the artist has publicly spoken in a different language.
Swift said a few words in French earlier this month in Paris when she began the European leg of The Eras Tour, including “enchanté” and “c’est magnifique.” Swift left the audience buzzing with excitement at her The Eras Tour event in Mexico last year, saying, “Ciudad de Mexico, Bienvenidos al Eras Tour!”
Although the singer only speaks a few phrases in many languages, her fans appreciate that she makes an effort to make her global fans feel welcome. Swift has already acknowledged in various interviews that she attempts to learn some common phrases and words from the countries where she visits on tour.
