Emily Blunt is proud to be a proud lifelong Swiftie. During a recent interaction, the actress expressed her admiration for Grammy award-winning pop star Taylor Swift and shared a touching story about her gesture towards her kids.
During a conversation with radio DJ Howard Stern to promote her new film The Fall Guy, Emily, who has two children with her actor-husband John Krasinski, recalled how Taylor met her kids, Hazel and Violet, who are 10 and 7, respectively.
Emily said that Hazel was feeling a bit unsure of herself after getting a haircut. But Taylor’s encouragement and kind words cheered her up right away. The actress praised Taylor for doing the “best thing” for her kid, emphasizing her innate ability to make her young fans feel cherished and loved.
“Yeah, she’s the nicest. She was so nice to my kids,” she replied when questioned if she had met her in person.
She further said, “My oldest kid had just cut all her hair off this very short haircut that she was very self conscious about. And Taylor Swift goes, Look you just like this 60s beatnik cool kid. I just, I love your style. And I thought my child was going to faint. It was the best thing anyone’s done for my child. That’s so sweet. That she did that. She’s really cool. She’s very cool”.
