Drake’s security guard ‘seriously injured’ in shooting at Toronto mansion

Drake’s Toronto house is the focus of a police investigation after a gunshot early Tuesday morning. According to CBS News, the shooting occurred outside the Canadian rapper’s residence in Bridle Path at about 2:10 a.m. local time. Authorities confirmed the shooting, which injured one person, in an X, previously Twitter post. According to Toronto Police, the victim was taken to the hospital with critical injuries and the suspect left the area in a car.

After the incident at Bayview Ave & Lawrence Ave E, police told CityNews that the injured individual was not Drake. While officials did not immediately identify the identity of the wounded person, TMZ reported that the victim was a member of Drake’s security team. According to the outlet the victim was shot in the upper chest. The shooting seems to have been a drive-by.

Officials have not yet confirmed if the gunshot was connected to the current rivalry between rappers Drake and Kendrick Lamar.
