Country music star Colt Ford suffers heart attack, hospitalized after Arizona concert

Colt Ford, a 54-year-old country rapper and singer, was admitted to the hospital on Thursday, April 4, following a heart attack. According to a statement his publicist gave to USA Today on Friday afternoon, he is “in stable but critical condition.”

According to the publication, Ford is receiving care in Mesa, which is southeast of Phoenix, in an intensive care unit. According to reports, the singer’s medical emergency occurred shortly after his performance at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row in Gilbert, Arizona.

Thursday was not the first time Colt Ford, whose real name is Jason Brown, had experienced a health complication.

The Times We Had singer revealed his diagnosis of Myasthenia Gravis, an autoimmune disease, in an interview with Taste of Country in May 2023. He talked about how there is no cure for it, which usually affects the muscles in your face, throat and eyes during the conversation. Ford said the illness affects his eyesight to the point that he has no control over his right eye.

The artist has also fought eye cancer, which required him to undergo surgery roughly three years ago.

Furthermore, given his professional singing career, Ford stated that he has dealt with fatigue but has been feeling better after being given supplements by his doctors.
