The summer rivalry between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar will return, as they will face off at SummerSlam 2023. Since April, the two stars have been involved in a plot and have faced off twice. Their plot will most likely conclude during the Summer’s Biggest Event.
Dave Meltzer stated on Wrestling Observer Radio that they would have another match. Cody and Brock’s feud began on Raw following Wrestlemania 39. Before their fight against Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, Brock attacked the American Nightmare, who was supposed to team up with him.
At Wrestlemania Backlash, Cody and Brock faced each other for the first time. The former Intercontinental Champion won the match with a roll-up. Cody was beaten by Brock at Night of Champions thanks to the referee’s stoppage.
It’s possible that Cody could win the SummerSlam since WWE has been backing him. He is anticipated to enter the World Heavyweight Championship picture following SummerSlam.
Lesnar, meanwhile, has been taking a break since Night of Champions and won’t likely return until July. He’s not featured in the Money in the Bank 2023 ads. Advertising for the UK event features Cody. He might be participating in the ladder match.
In the meanwhile, WWE has confirmed that Cody will appear on The Miz TV during this week’s Raw. This will be his second appearance on the show.
