Chris Pratt isn’t without his flaws—who really is? The Guardians of the Galaxy star has faced significant backlash over his connections to the Hillsong Church in Australia, particularly through the Zoe Church in Los Angeles. This network of churches has been accused of various issues, including racism, sexual abuse, and homophobia. However, it’s also important to acknowledge that Pratt generally comes across as a decent guy with good intentions.
Given that context, his insights about the personalities in Hollywood deserve our attention. During a panel at New York Comic Con for his upcoming sci-fi comedy The Electric State, Pratt touched on his experiences with co-stars who had poor attitudes.
While he didn’t name names, he implied that he’s encountered some actors with unprofessional behavior. He stated, “There’s no room for sh***y attitudes there. You can’t have a bad attitude in moviemaking. It ruins everything for everyone, and then you don’t last long.” He further emphasized that actors, given their privileged positions in a fun and lucrative industry, shouldn’t complain about their jobs. “It sucks when people have a crappy attitude,” he remarked. “So when you show up on set, there’s no reason why you should… Like, ‘Oh, are you having a hard time living your dream? Is that tough for you today?’ Like, come on and pull your head out.”
With an impressive filmography that includes six Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, the Jurassic Park series, the Lego Movie franchise, and many others, Pratt has worked with a wide range of actors. It’s challenging to pinpoint who might have rubbed him the wrong way.
Despite this, Pratt did clarify one co-star he believes is definitely not on his list of difficult personalities: Millie Bobby Brown. He praised the 20-year-old Stranger Things star for her character and compassion. “She’s just incredible,” Pratt said, noting how she goes out of her way to help animals. He shared that while on set, she would take time to find homes for animals in need, like pygmy goats and pit bull puppies, showing a deep love for animals.
This aligns perfectly with Brown’s well-known affection for animals; she’s a proud pet parent to eight dogs, four cats, three goats, one sheep, one pony, one rabbit, and one donkey. Pratt’s admiration for her kindness reflects positively on him, highlighting that he appreciates genuine compassion in others.
