Child Protective Services, a hospitalization, and angry Offset posts: What happened to Cardi B?

Cardi B recently took to social media to express her frustration and anger towards her soon-to-be ex-husband, Offset, in a series of now-deleted posts on X, coinciding with her revelation on Instagram Live that Child Protective Services (CPS) had visited her home due to an anonymous prank call alleging abuse of her children.

The couple, who married in 2017 after meeting in 2016, have had a tumultuous relationship marked by infidelity rumors and reconciliation attempts. They filed for divorce in 2020 but got back together, only to file again in August 2024. In her posts, Cardi didn’t explicitly mention Offset but made her feelings clear, stating, “I wish the worst on this man. I never hated somebody soooo much,” and referred to him as a “garbage bag” and a “dirty a**, narcissistic piece of s**t.”

When fans urged her to consider the father of her children, Cardi responded, “Yea he is that’s why I don’t wish him death. But I truly hate this … piece of st.” She further declared her disdain, saying, “No I don’t [love him] I want him to get hit by a fin’ truck. He really is just a dark cloud on anybody’s life he enters.”

Despite her emotional outburst, Cardi had previously expressed a desire for a peaceful co-parenting relationship, stating she wanted to emulate the dynamic her parents had, where they remained amicable for the sake of their children. This desire for peace seems at odds with her recent comments, especially in light of accusations from Offset that she cheated on him while pregnant with their third child.

Earlier the same day she made the posts about Offset, Cardi opened up during an Instagram Live about the CPS visit, revealing that it was triggered by an anonymous report claiming her children were being abused. She expressed her outrage over the prank call, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation and vowing to find out who was responsible.

In a concerning twist, Cardi also shared that she was in a hospital bed when she made some of these revelations, although she did not disclose the reason for her hospitalization. In August, she had been hospitalized for three days after injuring herself in a fall while pregnant.

This mix of personal turmoil and public scrutiny has left Cardi navigating a complex and often painful situation, as she tries to balance her role as a mother with the emotional fallout from her relationship with Offset.
