An forthcoming American superhero movie called Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is based on the DC comic book character Aquaman. The film is the follow-up to Aquaman (2018) and the fifteenth and last entry in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), produced by DC Studios, Atomic Monster, and The Safran Company, with distribution handled by Warner Bros. Pictures. James Wan is the film’s director, working from a screenplay by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick. Moreover, Dolph Lundgren, who plays Nereus, the father of Xebel and Mera, Randall Park, who plays Dr. Stephen Shin, a marine researcher fixated on discovering Atlantis, and Temuera Morrison, who plays Arthur’s father and a lighthouse keeper, are reprising their roles from Aquaman (2018). Vincent Regan as the first king of Atlantis, Atlan; Jani Zhao as Stingray; Indya Moore as Karshon; and Pilou Asbaek in an unspecified capacity are also present.

The current release date for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is December 22, 2023. The original release date of the film was December 20, 2023, two days earlier. The animated feature Migration, the Glen Powell-Sydney Sweeney romantic comedy Anyone But You, and the biographical The Iron Claw are the films that the movie is now debuting against. This isn’t the first time the movie has been delayed; on December 16, 2022, it was supposed to be released, but it was moved to March 17, 2023. The movie was originally scheduled for December 25, 2023, however it was later moved ahead a few days and then moved forward by two days.
