Season 4 of All Creatures Great and Small will once more follow the exploits of doctor James Herriot. Even before the third series debuted, a fourth was ordered due to the show’s overwhelming popularity.
The new six-part series should be released by the end of 2023 because filming is already well under way. A Christmas special will also be available.

At the moment, the plot of the upcoming season is not et revealed. However, we know that, In 1940, when the television show is set, Winston Churchill becomes prime minister. Helen and James have a happy marriage. But Siegfried and James hire some extra help to help around the office while Tristan is away on duty with the Royal Army Veterinary Corps. The extremely capable bookkeeper Miss Harbottle and the diligent undergraduate vet student Richard Carmody are two of the new characters.

The upcoming season, which is now under production, will probably premiere on Channel 5 in the UK in the fall of 2023. It’s possible that US audiences will have to wait until early 2024 to watch the program on PBS.
