SM Entertainment revealed that aespa’s Winter underwent surgery lately for collapsed lungs. The artist is recuperating after the treatment and needs time to recover. Furthermore, the agency stated that the singer’s health is their priority.
On April 12, 2024, it was reported that aespa’s Winter had undergone surgery. She had pneumothorax, which needed surgery. It is commonly referred to as a collapsed lung and is recurring in nature. So, after consulting with a team of doctors, it was agreed that Winter needed surgery so that she would not have to deal with the same problem again.
SM Entertainment also talks about the artist’s future goals and whether she’ll be able to continue with them as usual. The agency disclosed that prior to executing any planned events, Winter’s health will be taken into account. Their first concern is her health, and she is still recuperating. Since the procedure is not extremely complex, the artist will quickly recover and resume her routine.
Winter began her professional career as a member of the K-pop group aespa, which Ningning, Giselle and Karina formed by of SM Entertainment. The group is currently getting ready to make a comeback and release new music. It has been rumoured that the new album would be out in May.
