Andrew Scott Joins Daniel Craig’s Benoit Blanc In Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery

Notable for his parts in “Fleabag” and “Ripley,” Andrew Scott has joined the cast of “Knives Out 3,” which is formally called “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.” Alongside previously announced cast members Josh O’Connor from “Challengers” and Cailee Spaeny, well-known for her performance in “Priscilla,” Scott will star. Daniel Craig is returning as Benoit Blanc, the eccentric detective.

The third “Knives Out” movie, written and directed by Rian Johnson, is back. s. He will also produce the movie alongside his T-Street partner Ram Bergman, who collaborated on the prior two films. “Wake Up Dead Man” is scheduled to begin production shortly and be released in 2025. Although story elements are yet unknown, Johnson and Craig have indicated that this will be Benoit Blanc’s “most dangerous case yet.”

As per TOI, Johnson shared his admiration for the whodunit genre, stating,  “One of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is. There’s a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and exploring that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc movies.”

Jamie Lee Curtis, Chris Evans, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, Toni Collette and Ana de Armas were among the cast members of the first movie. In the sequel, “Glass Onion,” Dave Bautista, Kathryn Hahn, Kate Hudson, Edward Norton and Janelle Monáe were among the cast members.
