Zayn Malik Says He Regrets Not Enjoying One Direction Enough

Zayn Malik has made a surprising confession regarding his time with One Direction, leaving fans in tears. The former band member, who was the first to leave the group during its prime, regrets not enjoying his time with them. This revelation follows the announcement of his forthcoming album, Room Under The Stairs, which is slated to be released on May 17.

Zayn’s announcement of his departure from the band on March 25, 2015, devastated the hearts of millions of fans. Since then, the singer has had an on-off relationship with the paparazzi and the limelight. “The main thing that I always feel bad about when I look back over my life is not enjoying the band enough,” Zayn said on the Zach Sang show.

The singer expressed gratitude for his current joy and regretted taking things too seriously in the past. Regarding his time in One Direction, he said, “I feel like I just took things too seriously, you know? I’m grateful that I’m able to be happier now. I can actually enjoy things and own my own perspective a bit, you know? Like, glass half full versus it being half empty. That’s my choice.”

The remaining band members made an effort to bring the band back after Zayn left, but their impact slowly faded, leaving a disappointed fandom that had hoped for a reunion that never happened.
