Inside Out 2 Star Wants Sequels Exploring Riley’s Whole Life

The popularity of the 2015 movie Inside Out made a sequel inevitable, and ‘Inside Out 2’ is slated to continue the adventure into the mind of Riley, the young protagonist. Amy Poehler, who voices Joy, feels there is room for further movies in the franchise.

In a recent interaction with Empire, Poehler talked about the possibility of making a trilogy of films that follow Riley’s emotional growth throughout her life.

Since people go through different stages of life and feel different emotions at different times, she suggested exploring Riley as a young adult, a young mother and even as a middle-aged person.

Given the enormous success and positive reviews of the first movie, there is great anticipation for “Inside Out 2.” Poehler responded on the first film, saying, It was super-emotional, and I felt so proud to be in it.” Despite the pressure to create a sequel, she was eager to return for a second instalment, highlighting that”you can’t let that fear stop you from the action. You have to act.”

Many original cast members, such as Amy Poehler as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, and Lewis Black as Anger, will be appearing in “Inside Out 2.” Along with these familiar faces, the cast will also include Tony Hale as Fear, Maya Hawke as Anxiety, Liza Lapira as Disgust and Kensington Tallman as Riley Andersen. It is set to debut in theatres globally on June 14.
